Ali is a poet who, constructs poems after hours away from his professional construction role. He has worked on breaking stereotypes, in the workplace and on stage. Poetry has become his creative outlet to recount his stories, experiences and views, addressing mental health, politics, discrimination and identity. 

Ali has featured on; ABC News, ABC National Radio, TedX Sydney, Narellan Poetry Slam, Bankstown Poetry Slam, 4E Sydney Hip Hop Festival, White Ribbon Events, Parliament House, Biennale of Sydney and Sydney Writer’s Festival. He also produced, co-wrote and performed in the spoken word theatre production DY(STOP)IA for SWF, and a regular at BPS Grand Slams
