Australian Poetry Slam 2024 (APS ’24) invites you to cheer, snap and hold up scorecards in this nation-wide celebration of spoken-wordsmiths. The country’s top sixteen slam poets wield phrases to flick your heart open and inspire you to laugh through tough topics. 

APS ’24 unleashes wild thoughts, launching mini-revolutions; like a chorus of kingfishers on a mission. Writers let fly and alight upon the mic for two minutes. They shout, call out, even warble fresh lit.

Crowds flock with roars and ovations. Judges, chosen from the audience, elect the APS ’24 Champion.

One poet wins an international tour to Ubud Writers and Readers Festival, Singapore Writers Festival, The MumbaiLit Fest and more. It’s a career-making package worth over $20K.
